for sure you will need to drink and eat during your stay in Greece. As most countries all around the Mediterranean and it extents, you can say that most dishes are fresh and healthy. There is certainly a lot more to say about the Greek foods and drinks but more important will be where can you find some good place to eat and drink. Don't expect grand chique and refinement but rather raw colorful dishes and traditional, rustique establishments. Prices in general are between 10-17€/pers and some exeptions for sure. The first place to start will be down in our onw Village of Melana. On a 10 min walk dowm towards the village, you find a small grocery that has a grill restaurant next to it, the place is called "Founes". The menu is straightforward, it is all about Souvlaki, fresh Greek salad, Tzaziki and drinks. in the season it's opened on fri-sat-sun from 19h (August they are normally open on Wednesday too).
Gastrokafenes Floisvos Kardaras (Tyros)
Getting back to the main road towards the village of Tyros, on the right side there is a small seaside village with a small port and a lot of small typical restaurants. Kardaras restaurant serves typical Greek and Mediterranean dishes with a trendy chique touch. Dine or have a drink inside or at the terrace. You even can sit really seaside if you get there early. Located in Tyros at the seaside this is a more modern restaurant serving tipical greek dishes. the mixed grill is nice dish to order when you are hungry, they also have fresh ice cream.

If you look for pizza or more pasta like food this place will suit you well. Serving generous plates and pizzas. hungry but want something more healthy? you can order the Ceasar Salad wich is also a generous and tasty fresh salad.

Up in the village Sapounakeika you find Konatsi serving typical Greek dishes. You will find lamb, fresh salads, papoutsakia, server with dark brown Charob bean bread.

Further on the main road in past the town of leonidio there is a mediteranean style restaurant with refined dishes.
It is located right next to the sea.

In the centre of the village of Leonidio there is Pizzeria Giouzelito. Italian food like pizzas and pastas. Nice variety of meats.
