History and Culture
Greek culture is filled with mythology and ancient history. Along with pitoresk vilages and towns with small cosy streets. There are plenty of things to discover to anyones interest.

Pera Melana (10 min by foot)
well this is the place where we are, a small typical Greek village. You can have a walk from the house down and up to go to the local bar/souvlaki restaurant Founes (check for opening hours/days). You can also have a peek via cam.

Poulithra (35 min south)

In the small town of Tyros you can find most of the dayly needs: restaurants, groceries, butcher, bread & pastry. there is some old remains to visit in the area. In the higher part of Tyros (Old Tyros/Sapounakeika) there is also a road to a climbing spot. Once a week in high season there is a cruise taking you to the islands of Hydra and Spetses, the ones you see in front of you when you are on the terrace. Information you can find at Pegasus Cruises

Astros Paralia (35min north)
Astros Beach side, has alot of tipical and touristic restaurants located at the port and the main pedestrian street.
Good food and drinks are on the menu. Don't forget to get you some "loukamades" as desert you can find them in the small shops in the pedestrian part. Once a week in high season there is a cruise taking you to the islands of Hydra and Spetses, the ones you see in front of you when you are on the terrace.
